词性是英语语法的重点内容也是难点内容，有些同学总是理不清到底什么时候用形容词，什么时候用副词，今天我们主要来探讨一下二者区别，形容词和副词还有其他的用法，先不展开阐述。

一、形容词：
（一）作定语：修饰名词或代词。
1、形容词位置：
1）修饰名词放在其前：
They are good students.
特例：
enough 修饰名词放在前面后面均可。
food enough
enough food
2）修饰复合不定代词放在其后：这是中考的一个高频考点。
There is nothing newin today"s newspaper.
复合不定代词有：
something, anything, nothing, everything, someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, everyone, everybody, nobody, no one，其中前四个词是常考的词。
3）形容词修饰代词放在其前：
I like pop songs, but my sister like classicalones.
2、作宾语补足语：
常见短语：
1) find/think it adj to do sthI find it hard to remember so many words.2) find/think sb/sth adjI thought him clever.3) make me adjThis story made me sad.
3、作表语：be动词或系动词之后
初中阶段的系动词:
stay, keep, go, get, become, turn, feel, sound, look, smell，remain
例句：
To keep/stay healthy, we should often exercise.The meat went bad because it was too hot.The day is getting longer and longer.English is becoming more and more popular.The leaves on the trees turn yellow in autumn.I feel better than before.The music sounds beautiful.The girl looks nice.The beef smells delicious.The student remained silent no matter what the teacher said.
4、作主语补足语:
宾语补足语变为被动语态成为主语补足语
The teacher found her careful.
变为被动语态：
She was found careful.
careful 由上句的宾语补足语变为主语补足语。
二、副词：主要作状语
（一）修饰实义动词，放在其前后均可。
He quietlywalked into the classroom without being noticed.
He walked into the classroom quietly without being noticed.
（二）修饰形容词:
She is badly/terribly ill.
（三）修饰副词:
He runs pretty fast.
特例：
enough修饰形容词和副词只能放在其后
This room is big enough to hold 10 people.She is carefully enough to finish this task.
（四）修饰全句：放在句首。
Luckily, she passed the exam.
Suddenly, a car drove around the corner.
以上四种情况是区分使用形容词和副词的主要依据，副词还有两个用法，了解一下：
（五）作表语：She is there（六）作定语：the people there
以上就是在考试中区分用形容词还是副词的方法，我们可以用以下口诀来帮助记忆：
名前系后形，find,think,make宾补形，动形副全副
具体解释一下帮助记忆：
名前系后形：名词前系动词之后用形容词。
find, think,make宾补形 : find, make,think之后作宾补，用形容词。
动形副全副：修饰动词、形容词、副词及全句用副词。
我们看一道题具体分析一下解题思路：
2019道外三模：Exercise is important for your memory because it sends more oxygen to your brain, and that makes your memory work________A. easier B. more easily C. easy
解题思路：
做题前先看三个答案，弄清出题意图。三个答案首先就要区分用形容词easy还是副词easily。
选项处是修饰动词work,修饰动词用副词，显而易见，选择答案B，A和C都是形容词。
其实这道题应把答案C设计成easily,那么我们第一步判断用easily,第二步再去判断用比较级还是原级，上句话中有more oxygen,输送更多的氧气大脑更好地工作相对应，要用比较级，两步思维，仅为个人意见。
