as……as
1.作连词，固定搭配as……as，意思是“和……一样”；
2.作连词，表示“当……的时候”；
3.作连词，表示“因为”
4.作连词，表示“尽管”
“感谢某人做某事”，英语最常用的表达是thank sb for doing sth，但是不能用thank sb to do sth

spend time/money (in) doing sth.
花费时间（金钱）做某事.介词in可以省略。
例：They spent two years (in) building this bridge.
造这座桥花了他们两年时间.
5. To sweetheart or friend, words can mean much. Valentine heart to heart, conveys a loving touch.
